Shadowanimals

So, please tom, can you introduce shadowanimals to us....How can u define this collective?

T:the kings of crunk. the heatseakers. different groups formed around the same people working together in different formations. shadowanimals can be defined like group of good friends with the same vision and goals making records.

And please, tell me something about the specific sound of shadowanimals?

T: very collage-style.. very different any time.. Nomad sounds very folky-rap-primitive guitarsound, Gunporn sounded very dnb-downbeat-electonical-hard-industrial, zZcchini drive is on a sensitive, dancable, hiphop, pop-electronica vibe sometimes and Nuccini sounds like some crazy posthop.. we love pushing ouselves into directions we like a lot....
Cavemen Speak is how it all started and that shit was very primitive guitar and keyboard sound.

The last Zucchini Drive, in my opinion is an amazing release. It contains songs produced by different musicians. Have u selected the producers with a specific plan or how does it happen??

T: we made a weekend in a chalet in the south of Belgium.. there were 10 exercices and the people won the race were able to make us a beat.. they also got a medaille.
No...for real... just looked for the people with a dope refreshing sound and who wanted to work with us.. most people who reacted made a beat eventually and it was a hard but cool way of working

Personal question, why have you asked to giardini di mirò for a hip hop production/collaboration, we are really far from this kind of sound...

T: for me Zucchini Drive aint no hiphop yo, it's music.. and i wanna work with people who also wanna work on making music with a nice sound.. like Nuccini.. that kid got skill...

two albums from shadowanimals catalog?

T: thats for me, personally, Zucchini Drive "being kurtwood" and Cavemen Speak "tell all residents"

yeah, as last question, please can u say a sentence about jaques bruna, well known as bleubird. Can you tell me where have u met him and why is becoming a sort of shadowanimal usual guest..

T:Bleubird is the shit.. he has always loved to come to europe
and he is the nicest guy to work with.. fast and very high quality... everybody check our homeboy out: Endemik.
We meet him at a show in paris with grand buffet and recorded gunporn with him.

Last question, where people can buy shadowanimals records?

T: well.. all infos are on Shadowanimals.

Ringrazio Tom per l'amichevole chiaccherata. Per avere maggiori informazioni si può guardare appunto nel sito appena indicato. Chi volesse più informazioni sul progetto Zucchini Drive può guardare invece il loro sito qui.
